I’m blessed with my customers. £5 very rarely enters their vocabulary. £10 is cheap for my guys. When I’m not trying to earn money writing, I help manage a wine store near Clapham, Battersea. Lots of wine pro’s and genuine wine people with a fair chunk of disposable income.

Unlike the UK, in the US supermarkets aren’t always the best option for wine…but Trader Joe’s in particular are, I think, the only place with own label wine and on top of that well priced wine.
UK trade and public are probably still obsessed with the 5 quid bottle and this would have blown them away.

That would be about £5.50 in my money, dirt cheap. What was it, a bin end? Good work though for finding it. I would normally expect to pay, for a decent one around £20 or $32.50 in your money.
